About Alexander Black
Quarried near İskenderun in the Amanos mountains of southern Turkey, Alexander Black is a dense black marble whose sharp white veining is its signature — no two pieces alike, every surface unrepeatable. Its dark ground makes it a natural partner for white and beige marbles, and it lends a sense of depth and refinement to both classic and contemporary interiors. As with most black marbles, a honed finish softens the look while a polished finish maximises the contrast and depth of colour.
For striking contrast, it pairs beautifully with white marbles and onyx, which we are glad to quote alongside it.
